NDP'07

The journey down memory road.. NDP'07 just ended like that with a blast.. I will never forget this fateful day 9 august 2007.. NDP'07 was my first NDP parade.. and it was also the first time being held at marina bay floating platform.. this would goes down to history of us being the pioneers performing at that very stage.. 5 months of training.. POOF over.. it is kinda weird to realise that saturdays are free now.. no more trainings no more trainers nagging.. no more long MRT trips be it to kranji camp or to city hall.. no more supper and get togethers after trainings.. no more choinging to queue for bags after trainings.. no more laughing out loud and doing all the crazy stuff.. no more snacking on bus trips to show village.. no more playing of yong kang PSP in the bus.. no more milo trucks.. no more food from SFT or KFC.. I am so going to miss everything yet it will serve as a sweet memory to me..
yesterday all of us gathered at ICA to pray for the fine weather and accident free and the success of our show.. videos were flashed.. our previews and the preperation for the whole item.. shows were being put up by our trainers from the diff grps singa city, river of dreams and eternal bloom.. apparently it was also souvenir making around H3.. we all have to sign a card meant for each and everybody in the group.. however the unique part is girls must put on lipstick and smooch on the card whereas the guys could just use their pens and sign their big fat name there.. so unfair eh.. I have to kiss like 30 plus pieces of paper.. including my own card.. it bears my lip print lol.. as quoted from lingling" our first kiss is given to the card" that was hilarious man totally.. either case show village next.. when we reach there I made a mental note to actually read abit on comm skills or F&B there while waiting for show to start.. well in the end I did none of those as I was busy eating my dinner (KFC 2 piece chicken meal without drink and coleslaw) plus puting on make up.. and of course highlighing my hair PINK as they gave us free hair colour.. lol.. it was pretty fun and of course cam whore.. it was pretty sad that I did not manage to take photos with all the people I know yesterday like huimin puen etc etc.. but then took a few shots of the fireworks and of course our group members.. subsequently we all did cheers and of course warm up before entering the platform
at the platform itself.. just before our item was kit chan and CHIJ st joesph item.. the whole human group sang along to the song.. haha.. all of us can memorise the whole song by itself judging from the fact that we hear it for dunno how many times already.. and when it is finally our turn.. all of us screamed with joy.. when we entered into the platform and face the audience.. OMG it was totally spectacular.. all the lights everywhere.. the whole performace was totally awesome.. everybody had their dance step right.. though I was particullarly affected by a stink camera just located diagonally across me. either case I felt that everything went well and when we made the last HIAK.. everything really ended.. our 5 months of training just for that mere 4 min plus performance.. ran back into the holding area and during the finale it was even more splendid.. the gathering of all the groups from SSA to PA to schools kids skaters sopranos.. everybody did the spas finale dance together.. at the same time taking loads of photos of the fireworks and running around like some crazy mad dodo cow.. there were break dancing, tango even singing of old songs like wo de re qing.. hao xiang yi ba huo.. oh man totally AWESOME.. to round up everything.. VICK and JESSLYN sang us all a song as well.. vick even shed tears of joy cause he was too emotional and touched.. after all he had come a long way since march. He missed at least 2 months of training due to his father getting cancer.. yet he managed to overcome it all, his father's condition, his work and join us for the remaining training and rehearsals. the feeling was simply emotional.. jesslyn also.. from the quiet person I know during march, she became so open to us and practically crap with ud everywhere she goes.. of course not forgetting to nag at us too.. so many significant changes.. it really brings about a change within our lives.. thereafter was going back to show village.. took some more photos followed by supper time with the usual people.. after supper it was already like 11 plus and i had 2 tests and 1 presentation today.. so I ended up cabbing home with keni and shirui.. this reminds me SHIRUI i still owe ya money for cab fare. lol.. personally for myself throughout this whole NDP journey I was glad that I was able to make new friends, able to breakthrough by balancing my time betwwen friends family schwork and trainings of course.. esp during the period of projects and house upgrading and trainings.. come to think of it I managed to overcome it all which ist pretty miraculous.. all these late nights sleeping at 3 or 4 were simply worth it..I am really thankful for the people who encouraged me over the past few months.. the list is simply too long to be posted here.. either case a big thank you..indeed though I will be seeing some of my NDP mates in sch since we are all from TP and we can meet up during friday dinner, the opportunities for me to meet my other friends would be limited which is pretty saddening but then again there is the post NDP celebration at 2nd september to look forward to.. by then exams would be over.. but for now I would need to shift my concentration back to my studies. lol.. exams are coming.. but one thing for sure.. 2nd september I M SO GOING TO GET HIGH..lastly to the 1500 plus members in the 3 items River of Dreams, Singa City and Eternal Bloom of SSA.. I am so proud of everyone as all of us created fantastic victories within our life.. 3 cheers to NDP'07. hip hip hurray x3
