I am suffering from the I MISS CHINGAY/LIONFISH/TRAINERS/OCEAN OF HARMONHY SYNDROME!! Once again, another journey down memory road. The past 4 months for me has been such a wonderful experience and out of the so many cultural events I had participated b4, chingay 2008 by far ranked on the top of my list. 3 times a week sometimes 4 meet ups. Training till late at night, the whole entire day or even in the rain. Chanting together until the clouds disperse and everything was accident free.Choinging my projects after training, sleeping super late. Learning to take the initiative, one more step ahead and gathering the courage to face a huge crowd of people. I had fun laughter tears headache sick frustration encouragement friends family and my 16 girls who never failed to make me happy everytime I go training. Of course not forgetting beloved counterpart peijun for being a big sister always guiding me be it in terms of dance encouragement and her determined spirit. Cheorographers yue yin mei lun sikang yvonne. Without them = no ocean of harmony. Of course fellow trainers plus chief trainers ivan and weixin for always being there to work together hand in hand. The 2 days of performance was totally a SUCCESS and when we ended near the floating platform yesterday. I cried and the tears I drop was tears of both joy and struggle.I was a water bag, it just kept flowing and flowing especially during debrief where everyone commented how well everything went plus during saying the goodbyes to the lionfishes.The road was really long for the past 4 months and during all these goodbyes and comments, I was reminded of my struggles and suddenly it just make everything so worthwhile with the sucess of the performance. Once again we show the public the soka youthful spirit, we showed everybody the student division spirit and at the end when all trainers item ICs cheorographers sang young eagles on the road, BAH more tears. Come to think of it, I was DUMB to even think of hesitating to take up the trainer role 4 months ago and if anyone should ask me did I ever regret, I would proudly SAY NO cause throughout, I am proud to say I learn something new, I create a significant memory inside my mind. THIS chingay is the first time I was put as a trainer, first time it was done at city hall, first time there is a stage during the whole parade, first time I saw new year fire crackers, first time seeing an F1 Car and all these first times are things that add on to its significance. Thank goodness I had a camera and I could really take a photo of all these first times.

people claim we were tiger fish due to the costume so they insist on taking with the tiger sign. In reality lionfish is really this colour. blame the person for naming it lionfish instead of tiger than haha!!
